Christ the King Religious Education is beginning again this September! After a year of Religious Education at home, we can't wait to welcome all children and parents back with a new hybrid format for elementary and in-person formate with middle and high school!
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL - K-5th Grade
K-5th families will meet on the 4th Sunday of the month (9:15-10:15 am) in the Parish Hall for fellowship, activities with other families, your personal catechist and then leave with your at-home instruction for the next three weeks. It's that simple!
We will be using a different curriculum from last year, called GPS (God's Plan in Scripture) from Ascension Press. After receiving feedback, it became evident that families thirst for a deeper knowledge of scripture. The Bible stories are important because they show us God’s plan for us! GPS emphasizes the stories of the Bible, Sacred Tradition, and the Catechism of the Church. It makes it easy to develop a deeper relationship with God and learn more about ourselves.
MIDDLE SCHOOL - 6-8th Grade
6-8th grade students will meet weekly on Wednesdays (6-8:00 pm) in the Parish Hall. The middle school program, Edge, led by Violet and Garrett Ralston, is an extension of Life Teen used for high school youth. It provides a safe fun place for youth to find solid Catholic community, to get answers to their questions about faith, and, most importantly, to experience Jesus in a profound and personal way. HIGH SCHOOL – 9-12th Grade
9-12th grade students will meet weekly on Sundays (6-8:00 pm) in the Parish Hall. The high school program, Life Teen, led by our youth minister, Josh Janda, leads teenagers and their families into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ and His Church. Learn more HERE.
