Christ the King has a job opening in the parish office. This is a full-time, secretarial/administrative assistant position (37.5 hours/week). The successful candidate must have English– and Spanish-speaking capabilities. JOB DUTIES
Provide general administrative and clerical support for the priest and other office staff as needed
Manage daily activities of the front office: answering telephones, taking messages, greeting visitors, coordinating office calendar, receiving mail, data entry
Assist with scheduling sacraments such as baptism and marriage, coordinating required classes and paperwork, recording sacraments
Provide support for parish activities, including weekday and weekend liturgies
Maintain a work schedule that maximizes availability to parishes, diocesan staff and other customers
Coordinate and record Mass intentions
Manage new parishioner registrations, data entry for new Religious Education students
Enter data for newly registered parishioners and weekly contributions
SKILLS
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Publisher, Excel)
Strong Organizational Skills
Excellent Phone and Customer Service Skills
Knowledge of Parish Life and Liturgical Celebrations
Knowledge of Catholic Structure and Basic Teachings
