Lenten Series on Suffering

Our Introduction Night covered the basic "problem of pain" as expressed by C.S. Lewis. Lewis explains that the 'problem with pain' lies in the fact that if God loved us and was all powerful, he would wish for his creatures to be perfectly happy- but we are not. Why is this? What problems does it present? What is the origin of the Christian claim? Simply put- “The Son of God suffered unto death, not that men might not suffer, but that their sufferings might be like His.”- George Macdonald.
