The proclamation of Scripture is a powerful and galva-nizing force for the Mass. Lectors have the challenge to bring the reading and telling of the Scriptures to life. In this light, it becomes apparent the Lector is pivotal to the whole liturgical celebration. Adults as well as teenagers 16 and older are welcome to consider be-coming a Lector. To serve in this ministry you must:

• 1. be a confirmed Catholic in good standing
• 2. attend Mass regularly
• 3. be able to walk up and down the altar stairs
• 4. Possess a strong, clear speaking voice
• 5. be committed to your chosen schedule
