REGISTRATION FOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION WILL BEGIN ON AUGUST 1

WHEN CLASS MEETS
Families meet on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month at 9:15 a.m. in the Christus Center for fellowship and engaging activities with other families. You are assigned a personal catechist and leave with your at-home instruction for the next three weeks. It's that simple!

WHEN CLASS STARTS
Our first class is on Sunday, September 8.

FIRST HOLY COMMUNION
Preparation for the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession) and First Holy Communion begins in the first grade. If your child is in third grade or above and has not received these sacraments, contact the parish office.

The central mission of our Religious Education program at Christ the King is to aid the parents in fulfilling their role as the primary educators of their children by providing for the moral, spiritual, and intellectual formation of the children. Our sacrament preparation guidelines for First Holy Communion are as follows: 

• Student must be baptized in the Catholic Church and received First Reconciliation.
• Parents must provide proof of Catholic Baptism to the RE office or before the 1st meeting.
• Student must have attended at least one year of Religious Education prior to enrolling in the sacrament preparation class and have an attendance record of at least 75%.
• Student must also be enrolled in Christ the King’s Religious Education program by September 3rd and have an attendance record of at least 75% for the entire year.
• Student must have 3 or fewer absences from sacrament preparation class.
• Student and family must attend Holy Mass regularly.
