Support Our Lady of Angels Maternity Shelter through the Walking with Moms in Need Ministry In honor of Respect Life Month, the Walking with Moms in Need Ministry is organizing a donation drive for Our Lady of Angels Maternity Shelter from Saturday, Oct. 5th to Sunday, Oct. 20th. We will set up a Giving Tree set up in the Narthex after Masses with tags listing needed items. Parishioners are encouraged to take a tag, purchase the items, and return them to the donation boxes in the Narthex by Oct. 20th. Your generous donations will help support mothers and children in need. Thank you for your kindness and participation in this life-affirming mission! The Knights of Columbus Council 7196 is selling hamburger bag lunches after this Sunday’s 10:30 am Mass. For a quick and easy lunch, pick up a burger bag, chips, and a drink on your way home. You can find them on the Christus Center patio... dine-in or carry-out. Purchase a burger bag for one is $8, and 3 bags for $20. Thank you for supporting your local Knights of Columbus!

Join Us for the Blessing of the Animals! When: Sunday, October 6, 2024 Where: Christus Center Patio, Christ the King Catholic Church Bring your furry, feathered, and scaly friends for a special blessing! Dogs, cats, fish, hamsters, snakes, birds, and more are welcome. Please make sure your pets are safely on a leash or in a crate/container as needed. Exciting News! The Women’s Ministry is Hosting Trivia Night – October 12! Gather your team and join us for an evening of family-friendly fun on Saturday, October 12, in the Christus Center at CTK. Doors open at 6:30 pm, and trivia kicks off at 7:00 pm. We’ll provide light snacks, but feel free to bring your own to share! Childcare is available with an RSVP by October 5 (re_elementary@ctkbelton.org), so bring the whole family. All funds raised will go toward scholarships for CTK graduating seniors. Admission is $25 per person or $125 for a table of 6. And don’t forget—prizes await the winning tables! Enjoy a night of fellowship and friendly competition!

This is an important step in ensuring a meaningful and well-prepared celebration. St. Vincent de Paul will host its first Friends of the Poor Walk Fundraiser on October 19, 2024, at Yettie Polk Park in Belton. Please register as a walker today, and if you can’t walk, consider donating. This event is an excellent opportunity for SVDP CTK to raise funds that directly go back into our community, helping neighbors in need. Registration information can be found online.

The Guadalupano's will be hosting a breakfast from 9 am to 11:45 am.  All parishioners are welcome to come out and join us for a delicious breakfast. This Ministry is held every 3rd Sunday of the Month.

Christ the King is hosting an EIM Workshop in Spanish for first-time registrants on Saturday, October 26 from 9 am to 12 pm in the Christus Center. You must have an EIM account (complete and submit the EIM Application at VIRTUS.org) and pre-register to attend this workshop. All persons who engage in ministry in the Diocese of Austin (clergy, religious, employees, and lay volunteers) must complete the two-step EIM registration process through VIRTUS online to serve in ministry. If you or know of someone in your ministry that is needing this workshop please have them register. On the day of the workshop please plan to: 1. Plan to arrive promptly as late arrivals will not be admitted and 2. Do not bring children to the workshop. If you are a victim of sexual abuse and have concerns regarding your attendance at a workshop, contact Abby Turner at (512) 949-2447 to discuss an alternative workshop arrangement. Trunk or Treat will take place on October 27, 2024, from 2-4 PM. Candy donations and volunteers are needed to help make the event a success. You can drop off candy at the parish office entrance until October 25th. If you're interested in volunteering, contact Patricia St. Amour at dff@ctkbelton.org. If you're setting up a trunk, please arrive one hour early for setup. We cannot wait to see your costumes, and cannot wait to see all the smiling faces!
