The Office of Adult Catechesis and Formation is dedicated to carrying out Christ’s mandate.  In collaboration with other ministries in the parish and the Diocese of Austin, Christ the King's office of Adult Catechesis and Formation has created a variety of programs and events for our Catholic faith community.  You are invited to come and learn about Christ and his abundant love for us, how to become intentional disciples, and how to grow in your faith.

The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation
Mondays, 7 pm - 8:30 pm
Beginning Sept. 10 (24 sessions)

The Bible Timeline is a fascinating study that takes participants on a journey through the entire Bible. They will go deep into each period of salvation history and discover the amazing story woven throughout all of Scripture. Using a unique color-coded system, they will learn the major people, places, and events of the Bible and see how they all come together to reveal the remarkable story of our faith.

Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John
Wednesdays, 8:45 am - 9:30 am
Beginning Sept. 5 (8 sessions)

Following Christ takes more than simply believing in him or doing what he asks of us. Jesus wants you to be more than just a believer — He wants you to be his disciple and friend. Follow Me: Meeting Jesus in the Gospel of John is your guide to a personal encounter with Christ. As the Good Shepherd, Jesus seeks after us. He comes to meet us and beckons us to follow him. He calls us to be his disciples, to trust him, to open ourselves to his merciful love, and to love others as he has loved us. Follow Me invites you to experience the joy of a renewed friendship with Christ.

Forgiven: The Transforming Power of Confession

This program provides the Church’s teaching about the sacrament of Confession, including a practical “walk through” of what happens in the confessional and how every moment connects to Scripture, Catholic Tradition, and God’s passionate desire to be with you.
